A reminder that the pandemic (and everything) is temporary and we’ll all be together again soon. Fellow San Francisco Bay Area artist Selby Sohn and I made this collaborative art piece together from afar in May 2020 because we missed each other and were thinking about that unknown-yet-definite place and time in the future when we would finally get to be together again. We printed and distributed this artwork as window art for our local shops and restaurants. Designed for impermanence, our goal was to spread some comfort and joy to our communities and we did, receiving a positive, heartwarming response during an otherwise cold and isolated time.
This artwork was awarded a 2021 microgrant from the City of Palo Alto to create flags, buttons, and additional window artwork to be further shared with our communities. The flag artwork received a public art installation at Nola in downtown Palo Alto from June-Sept 2021.
